Emergency: Baby bird rescue

Sorry for the off-topic post, but I need some help fast. We found a baby robin that had fallen out of its nest this morning. It's not mature enough to go on it's own and can't fly. We tried putting it out where the parents could get to it, but they wouldn't go for it.

So we've since taken it in, but we have terriers that would just love to have this little thing for lunch.

Does anyone here do baby bird rescue in Ottawa? Or know anyone who does? We're willing to transport the bird within the greater Ottawa area if necessary or you can pick it up.

Thanks in advance,

..c..

wild bird care

We're lucky here in Ottawa to have the Wild Bird Care center.
"http://www.wildbirdcarecentre.org/" . It's run by some pretty caring individuals and is funded by donations. It on Moody Drive.

I have twice rescued a family of ducks whose pond (or puddle) had dried up and mom had started on a cross city excursion to find a new home. The ducks were
going to become catfood soon. It's neat to visit the center (and drop off a couple of bucks).

Thanks for the tip on the Ottawa Wild Bird Centre. We've phoned them and Fred's heading over there right away. Good to know for the future, too.

And thanks for the call, Softtouch! I suspect I know how you got your alias.

I think my parents are a bit disappointed in us, as they rescue birds all the time and were probably hoping we'd take a stab at it. But I think the Wild Bird Centre puts them in incubators with others of their own kind, so not only will he have the best chance of survival, but he'll also have a chance to get socialized and eventually go live a normal bird life.

Here's a pic I took of the nest a couple days ago:
