Emotional Attachments and Fixations

This might have been discussed before, but I can’t find any threads. So, my apologies for any repetitions.

This had happened to me in the past throughout my almost 50 years of hobbying. I have dealt with it in the past, but it has gotten worse with the years. Some ladies are so convincing, and the temptation is there to forget that we are in a fantasy situation. Temptation is too strong when the little head tries to decide for you.

Apart from complete withdrawal from the hobby, how do you prevent these situations, and how do you deal with them if and when they occur? I know it is strictly a business transaction between two consenting adults. However, there are two humans with feelings at each end of the transaction for intimate services.

Yes it has been discussed. Just remember, as much as you're fixated on her because you "connect with her" that's also part of her job to keep you interested. Happens to all of us too. But just remember, the more you see her it's ALWAYS about the money even if she likes you because that's her job.
I've known guys who have gone into deep debt because of such infatuations and once she moves on with NO notification the only thing they were left with was the debt.

You are probably just missing the companionship.
Pets, going out with friends, other activities to find people with similar interests will help.
Also if you are booking long dates, which may result in such feelings, switch to shorter dates of 1 or 1.5 hours.
Less likely to develop feelings that way.

You've been a hobbyist for about as long as I've existed. There is no need to quit. All you have to do is say "Next". There's always someone new. Here's to 50 more years

We need a mantra.
