It will give a new meaning to the term blow job.

Get ready to blow the sheets off.

A new erectile dysfunction gel under development would include a bit of nitroglycerin -- the same explosive material found in dynamite.

According to scientists working on the treatment's early development, the nitro-gel would quickly absorb into the skin, making way for fireworks in bed.

A trial involving almost 200 men is underway in Britain, according to the U.K. Daily Mail.

If approved, it might be a vast improvement on current drugs for erectile dysfunction such as Viagra or Cialis. Those don't work for all men, and can sometimes have unwelcome side-effects such as headaches and nausea.

It wouldn't be the first time nitroglycerin has been used in health research. It's been adopted for some angina treatments to open blood vessels to improve blood flow.

Doctors, however, have long warned against using heart nitro pills to improve erections.
