Let's say you have $250 burning a hole in your pocket, disposable cash, and you are trying to work out how to spend it.

You could save it towards a fancy vacation, which would involve flying, burning huge amounts of fossil fuels, and adding enormously to your "environmental footprint".

You could save for an upgrade to a bigger car, costing the environment enormously in terms of the metal used to construct your car, not to mention all the fuel you'd burn.

You could buy some new appliances or toys around the home, which no doubt contain nasty chemicals, ultimately fill up a landfill site, and cost a lot in fuel to transport around the world from where they were made.

You could visit your local SP, purchase a locally produced service, and engage in some fun activities that have next to zero environmental impact.
