The target market for these types of tours is Americans who lack world sense. (ie need to be babied abroad)
I say this not to offend the many great folks to the south who do not fall into this category.
If you want to go to eastern europe there are many discussion boards and lists (do a google) and they all say that you should just head on over there. The women, (professional and non) are quite partial to men with big bulging Western passports and wallets.
Fly solo and eliminate the middle man is the common consensus from the various boards I have checked out.
Having said that, I have not yet gone myself.

I agree, fijiman. I think you could find the same quality of escorts on the net and rent them for $400-500 US per nite - as opposed to $1,500.00! And the other stuff re bodyguards..... Moscow isn't a totally safe town, but I doubt you need a tough-guy to help you walk around the Kremlin or the Arbat and the other tourist locations you'd want to hit.

The other issue is quality of service. From my attempts to read http://sextalk.ru - the Russian TERB - it seems that moscow "professionals" offer services more in line with the "traditional everything safe" service associated with Canadian girls in the 90's - i.e. cbj, no kissing and often no daty. The expected EE level of service in Canada is far higher than what those girls are expected to give back in their home country. From reviews of Viking Villa, it seems those girls generally give gfe level service. I wouldn't be confident that Moscow escorts give this level of performance without reading some reviews.

I totally agree with the sentiments expressed in this thread: it is much wiser and cheaper to make one's own arrangements in Russia and other EE countries. I've spent a lot of time in both Moscow and St. Petersburg and I've never had trouble finding gorgeous women for a good price. The hotel lobby bars are filled with remarkable talent, approved and supported by the hotels themselves. It can sometimes be difficult to bring in an escort from the outside without greasing the palm of the doorman, but it can be done.
As far as danger is concerned, I have been confronted by some young toughs on the streets of St. Petersburg but my then (now ex) gf, a 5' 98 lb bundle of energy, cursed them while mentioning the name of a prominent Russian mafia leader and they went scurrying off into the darkness. So if a petite foul-mouthed Russian girl can take care of business, I hardly think a bodyguard is necessary.

Oagre, it's now been a decade since I was visiting Russia regularly, but then GFE services were standard for the hotel call girls and for most agencies. Now that the economy is better it may well be that the standard has dropped. And, of course, AIDS has hit Russian harder than most any other European country and that undoubtedly contributes to the new safety standards.
