Saying he has “waited long enough,” the ex-lawyer of “D.C. Madam” Deborah Jeane Palfrey has released some of the names of companies, government agencies and organizations that had called her escort service between 2000 and 2006.

In a court filing in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia obtained by WTOP, Montgomery Blair Sibley included the names of 174 of the entities that had dialed Palfrey’s business, Pamela Martin & Associates. No individuals’ names were listed.

So much for client confidentiality and privileged information.

I hope this lawyer gets disbarred. One would not want stuff disclosed out of one's legal files, no matter how inflammatory and controversial.

The duty of confidentiality is owed to the lawyer's client, in this case the Madam, or rather her estate. If the Madam's executors or heirs authorized the disclosure, the attorney has not breached confidentiality or privilege. He may be in contempt of court for contravening the restraining order.
