Why do women put on fake nails? Personally, I don't think they look nice and I would worry about getting intimate with a lady wearing them as I would worry about scratches and not having the best experience possible. I know ladies that wear them do get good reviews but its just for me.

I never understood the trend either. I tried them a few times and hated them. They ruin your natural nails underneath and are a bitch to remove. Plus you can't open cans with tabs. They get in the way of cleaning, playing guitar, etc. Not that I play guitar but maybe I wanna start, lol.

I do my own nails. Usually a simple short French manicure.

Lots of local customs as to popular body modifications, permanent and temporary, around the world. Personally, I think unless you have a significant physical defect that natural is the most beautiful expression of the human body.

The cost is pretty significant too. $100 for nails, $200 for hair and I have no idea how much a tattoo costs but I am amazed at the money overly-vain women spend. It is a red flag to me whenever I see a woman with crazy nails.

It's for cosmetics only...It doesn't serve any other purpose but to look nice clean and well groomed...not all women with fake nails look good. it has to be well done and proportion to your fingers...like not all women look good with fake eye lashes...there are some when done nicely look natural...some just look obviously fake....and they end up looking like a puppet....

The audience that women are playing to with their fancy nails is other women.
Agreed, status sells for sure. Now the trends is everywhere and women find money to do it, whether they are on social assistance or extremely affluent. As was mentioned in another thread, hygiene in particular must be much more difficult with these talons, wipping must be a bitch ! Actually many activities that require manual dexterity much be handicapped by these extensions.

anywhere i want;)
Girls get false nails for many different reasons . Some of those reasons include

1.) fashion
2.) real nails wont grow so they put on fake ones
3.) to look beautiful
4.) some clients find them sexy & ask if their nails & toes are done.

At the end of the day a woman does what she wants to do with her body ; shes not going to stop getting her nails done just because some of her clients don't like them LOL.

Just a side note ; you wont get scratched with fake nails unless they are pointy or sharp which rarely woman get . Its mainly oval or square shape. Unless the girl is really freaky and digging her nails into your back & or scratches you purposely ; your unlikely to get a scratch mark from a fake nail.

In a place far, far away
I once saw a nurse sporting at least inch long fake nails... Doctors couldn’t say a word but it was obvious they would not be promoting her.

There are additional bacteriological issues with these long nails too. A good place for the wee beasties to hide out.

Not a fan of them usually. But what's worse are those drawn-in eyebrows that are all the buzz now.

That said, I put fake nails on my own nails if I'm staying in on long weekends. Makes me feel pretty.

This may come as a shock to those women who pay $ 150 -$250 + to get their nails done ...

I didn't notice. I really don't care.. It could be me, I also don't notice custom license plate frames on exotic sports cars.
I have never asked about a girl's nails, they always point it out to me. Maybe I might notice during an extended hand job ... it hasn't happened yet.

The over sized nails I notice as I would any other freakish abnormality. It's like a troll was tied inn the basement for many years and escaped. It's not erotic for me -- just weird.

Really long finger nails say 'I don't do my own housework, ever', so it can be intriguing to contemplate what alternative domestic skills she would have that would let her get away with that.

Long, fake toenails, on the other hand, are gross. No woman should have long, fake toe nails on one of her hands.

Ancient joke from the olden days:

Why do women wear makeup and perfume?
Cuz they're ugly and they smell bad.

But really, do people on this board think the women we can see are trying to look sexy for us in particular?
Or that we should be the fashion consultants?

Nope, not a fan.

Sharp things around my junk makes me nervous and visually they do nothing for me.

I saw a girl once with really long ones and all I could think of the whole time was "Edward Scissor Hands” Not only did the nails distract me I also had J Depp in my head. Boner killer.

How to tell the world you're a hooker without using words.

Ya, I don't get it either. I nice manicure is great, but those stupid fake things are enough for me to avoid booking them. Great if it makes them happy, but it seems dumb to me.
