Hi,

Do you guys have problems with the document feeder in you fax machines? On my machine, very often, if the paper alignment is not perfect, the page will get screwed up. When faxing multiple pages, sometimes the first page will go through, but the others will get screwed up by the document feeder? I fax a lot and am getting fed up with this, but am not convinced that spending more money or getting a different brand (I have an HP all-in-one) will fix the problem.

The fax units on the all-in-ones are generally not made for a lot of faxing. Kind of a 'jack of all trades-master of none'. It is possible that the feed rollers are worn & need replacing.

Most of the standalone faxes aligns the sheets before they are scanned no matter the initial alignement.

I agree with GlavaMan, all in ones are nice but the document feeder, when you have one, is very often unsatisfactory. I had a Brother, very good price, that often scanned the pages not aligned...
So my advice is to take a standalone fax machine, or a high end all in one with vertical feeder.
