feeling old

on aug 10th i am having my first grandchild, a boy. my delima is that i am feeling old (the grandfather syndrome).i am very happy for my son and his girlfriend and i am looking forward to spoiling the hell out of the kid but am i ready for the grampa thing. how old is one to be to be a grandpa. what age is one comfortable about beeing called grampa?

It never really bothered me that I was going to be a grandfather ,but what really bothered me was that I was married to a grandmother !!

Lates 40's is common. Some families grow quickly. My parents became grandparents at 39. Great grandparents at 62.

What does your son's wife think about the fact that her husband is having a son with another lady??

Seriously, I guy could become a father when he is 15 or 16 (or younger). The son could also become a father at the same age, making his dad the GRANDFATHER at 30 or 31.

Enjoy the moment, you are only as old as you feel. Eat a well balanced diet, with lots of fruit and veggies, and exercise at least 3-4 times a week. STAY YOUNG.
