A while back some folks posted that they were looking for tickets to the Fifty Cent concert coming up on July 1 at the Molson Amphitheatre. I volunteered to call my contacts to source a few tickets.

Nyyla was one of those who asked for tickets. Now however I'm being avoided so I find myself stuck with 2 tickets to a concert I have no personal interest in. (Yes, I've learned my lesson.)

So, 2 tickets to the Fifty Cent concert on July 1, face value $75 now available to the highest bidder. This "auction" closes tomorrow (June 26) around 9 pm.

Let the bidding begin.

Its pitiful when you guys are so anxious to see them in concert after hearing their song when its hot on the radio..........now that they're not up on the charts no one wants to go see them. Honestly......i know music, and most rap artists don't have talent. Only a few rap artists have talent.........Snoop being one of them. Eminiem is okay but not great like snoop. Todays rappers should take a lesson from the old school rappers who actually did have talent........Sugarhill Gang, Grandmaster Flash and the furious five, Kurtis blow, Whodini, Afrikka Bambaata.

As soon as i heard 50 cents on the radio........i said to myself, who the hell is this guy kidding. Take away the sampled music, take away the back up singer, and what you have left is a talentless illiterate rapper. 50 cents sounds like any other talentless rapper who has no unique sound or style like Snoop.

Just too many untalented rappers being pushed up by their more successful friends in the music industry. What a damn shame with the music industry today. I've never heard so much crap on the radio these past few years.

Thank god they got rid of Kiss 92.5

Troops is right on.

50 cent please, he's the same as that guy from St. Louis, I can't even remember the name of from last summer (It is hot in here).

I think Eminem has talent. And Dr. Dre producing. And Snoop. Miss Tupac. What happened to Public Enemy?

I was big into hip-hop but I really think it has gone down hill since say '91 and become all about image. No-name rappers with Hummers in their videos. They come and go like Lil Kim. They come and go so fast we forget they ever existed.

I had watched the 21 questions video by 50cent last nite and in my mind i drowned out the background music and drowned out Nate Doggs singing and all i heard was an untalented rapper singing acapella in a way that the music did not and would not ever flow with his lyrics.

50 cents concert tickets is not even worth a penny.

Just to add...........this concert is going to consist of 25 other talentless background rappers running around back and forth on the stage with a hanky in their hand blurting out the last few word of every line in the song.

Do you honestly consider Maestro to be in the same league as Tupac and P.E.? Maestro is pretty good, but comparing him to rap icons is a bit of a stretch.

There are quite a few rapers that are extremely talented. It may seem easy, but to put out hit after hit after hit, takes a bit of skill.

My list

1) Biggie Smalls
2) Nas
3) Rakim
4) Eminem
5) LL Cool J (Before he went mainstream)
6) Gza
7) Big Daddy Kane
8) Heltah Skeltah
9) Busta Rhymes
10) Snoop
11) Outkast
12) Common
13) KRS One
14) Ludacris
15) De La Soul

Yup yup

Yeah ...

A lot of these new rappers don't really have much talent at all....but thats ok. You guys gotta remember that there are only two things that will sell you in that industry:

1) ACTUAL talent

2) A marketable persona

50 cent falls under the marketable persona.

I like rusty's list of good rappers....minus Busta. I can't stand him IMHO......
