Finally got my cheque from the OLG

It took weeks before I got it, and I almost forgot about it.

I knew I won but the particular scratch card was folded and creased, and the bar code was overly scratched, so the store couldn't verify it with a scan.

So I mailed the ticket with a note.

Just got the cheque this morning for a wopping $10.00 :dance:

(Getting a cheque in the mail no matter how small (instead of bills, etc.) is always a nice feeling.

LOL, i was at the OLG lottery office last year i won 1300.00 on Lottario. There was this guy there cashing in a 5 dollar winning bingo ticket, the lady that was there told him they dont carry cash on premises, so they would have to pay him by cheque. He actually went thru all the trouble, it took him about 10 minutes.

My lottery gambling is diverse. I indulge in scratchers from time to time but not big bucks. I know a cousin of mine won $3K. I've won $20, $25, etc. The only reason I got a cheque was because the card couldn't be scanned. Nice to see that the system works, but it still took a long time (I'd say a month +).
