I know this goes beyond the scope of the question, but my two favourites (and there's many for me to try) is at the corner of Hwy 2 and Thickson in Whitby and on Weston road, a little north of Lawrence, next to the funeral home.
Lucy's Seafood Kitchen has a few locations in Mississauga.
I used to have their Halibut & Chips special from their truck all the time. Not sure if they still do that but it was fresh and tasty. Great seafood choices in general.
If in Brampton, check out Heritage Fish & Chips, next to the No Frills just off Steeles & 410.
McNie's in etobicoke is still very good but they all have made the fish small to keep the price down.
The best fish & chip's in the city by far is a place on islington and rexdale blvd(site of a ressent stabbing in a Mr Sub store, so come packing heat) The place is called Chubby's , huge serving of halibut fish and they also have amazing back bacon, and burgers . I have been going for over 30 years and Gus the owner still works most days.
