Don't know about Mississauga, however, Kingsway Fish and Chips on Bloor and Royal York is fantastic.

It's the real deal. Battered halibut, fries, not that good for you, but not that bad, but tastes great.

There was/is a place in Port Credit that got good reviews. It is in the marina area. I went here several years ago and it was good.

That's it....shorter, stocky family. Hard workers.

Actually, I thought they closed or sold the Streetsville store.
They still have the streetsville store and are actually opening a fourth store Kipling and Lakeshore area,

I know this goes beyond the scope of the question, but my two favourites (and there's many for me to try) is at the corner of Hwy 2 and Thickson in Whitby and on Weston road, a little north of Lawrence, next to the funeral home.

There's a Fish & Chip joint on Burnhamthorpe just east of Tomken Road. In the little strip plaza on the south side of the road.

I used to live in the area and ate there many times. It used to be EXCELLENT!

Mushy peas too!

Lucy's Seafood Kitchen has a few locations in Mississauga.
I used to have their Halibut & Chips special from their truck all the time. Not sure if they still do that but it was fresh and tasty. Great seafood choices in general.

If in Brampton, check out Heritage Fish & Chips, next to the No Frills just off Steeles & 410.

Caledon East
Port Credit has a great F&C place, and so does Streetsville in the little main strip. don't remember the names.

if you are ever up in Kleinburg, you gotta give la Chartreuse a try. a nice little basement pub with killer F&C's...

also, the Caledon Inn Pub along airport rd. in Caledon East has great F&C's also...

McNie's in etobicoke is still very good but they all have made the fish small to keep the price down.

The best fish & chip's in the city by far is a place on islington and rexdale blvd(site of a ressent stabbing in a Mr Sub store, so come packing heat) The place is called Chubby's , huge serving of halibut fish and they also have amazing back bacon, and burgers . I have been going for over 30 years and Gus the owner still works most days.
