I'm not sure how acceptable this is to you guys on average.. but I just don't get why the fuck people put a mattress on the floor.. and expect you to pay a few hundred dollars a hour to roll around on it..

It's mind boggling.. a plain steel bed frame costs 50.00 .. I'm not talking a headboard/footboard.. just a frame to hold the boxspring and mattress at a normal height..

I guess you get what you pay for.
I believe TOG has mattresses on the floor.. some other SPs who advertise on cerb do also.. the rate isn't relative.

To me its totally classless to just have a mattress on the floor. It speaks volume of the value of both the service offered and how much your business is valued.

Jigg, you're right about the noise.. but being over six feet.. its pretty unpleasant on the ground.. havoc on your knees.. etc etc

Wait, are we talking about just a mattress on the floor or with a boxspring? I have a boxspring and a mattress on the floor as I haven't gotten the "bedroom set" yet. I do want a bed frame eventually, but not one of the metal frames on wheels or we'd end up at the other end of the room. :D My bed's a decent height off the ground thanks to the boxspring. (I personally don't like mattresses on floors as there's more chance that floor dirt gets tracked into bed.)
I didn't see any mention of a boxspring in the OP's post, so I'm assuming just mattress.
But speaking of wheels, I think I'd like my bed on wheels. Makes it easier to move for vacuuming.
I would choose All Season radials with mags + spinners. But, that's just me. Whitewalls, of course.

Should have clarified, they're both not ideal. Mattress on floor. or the box with it. You can get a cheap metal frame to keep your bed at normal height for 50.00 bucks until you get your set. No wheels. Won't move..

Maybe I just prefer standing doggy.. :)

I don't care. Mattress on floor= no noise, plus I can get a great massage as well.
I agree with Jiggety! Back when I was younger and had roommates I would often put my mattress on the floor to get it on, a little more discreetly, with my beau, lol... Bedframe was horribly noisy and the mattress on the floor saved me from angry roomies and maybe downstairs neighbours too!

TOG used to have the metal frame to hold mattresses and box. I asked Gigi on my recent visit, she said they removed the frame because of the noise and to save complaints from the neighbors.

LOL ...doesn't bother me whether the mattress is on the floor or on a frame, that doesn't make it feel "cheap" to me (much prefer the quieter bonus of it being on the floor). What *does* cheapen it for me and I hate is when it's not a full regular bed mattress but a simple ~4" thick futon type mattress...
