Certainly seems pretty stupid to me that there can be airplanes flying around without the means to contact (or be contacted by) air traffic controllers.
Must have been fun for the F-16 pilots trying to fly slow enough to intercept the old planes without stalling.

You'd think she'd know that military jet engines sound a whole lot different than civilian ones. Kinda like being surprised that a Ford Fusion in a NASCAR race sounds a lot louder than one of the dealers lot
