I just got word another of my dear friends has passed away from a heart attack. 45 years old, single mother, her husband passed on 4 years ago from the same thing. She leaves 4 boys under the age of 16 years old.

Very sorry to hear about that A1, It is a sad thing especially for people so young. Alot of this I fear is from stress, economy, and life in general. I suggest we all find one person to do something uplifting for, maybe one at a time we can prevent this insanity from spreading. You have my sincere condolences.

That's just horrible. I've never heard of a married couple both passing away from a heart attack at such a young age. Just heart breaking.

I know the feeling Player ... heart disease runs in my family, and we've lost several relatives, between 50-60 years old. Makes one appreciate each day after that, cause who knows ...

So far, my dad, a heavy smoker and drinker most of his life, until he was forced to quit when he moved into a nursing home, is the only one of 5 brothers and sisters, who dodged that bullet. He's 91. He was the lucky one I guess.

I pray I got his genes.

4 boys under 16? Holy shit....no wonder. I know I was a terror when I was 16.

I don't know these people from adam but both dying of heart attacks at such a young age makes me wonder what their diet was like. Maybe all us 40 somethings can learn from Player's loss and take better care of our C/V systems.....

My deepest sympathy for your friend and her remaining young family A1P. It is just too sad to hear story like this

Financially it'll be tough for the children but more so by phychological aspect is greater then ever. Please be there for the family for their emotional support especially during the next few month when kids need someone the most.

I'm very sorry to hear this A1, 45 is far too young.
Perhaps something can be done to help the children in their futures as Red has suggested, it's a tough situation but doing something positive might help to ease your pain. My condolences.

Thank you for all your replies.

If there is one small grace about this situation, the kids will be well looked after. My friend was extremely well off financially, as is her family, so money will not be an issue.

Thank goodness for 'small miracles'.
