I am fuckin neckid here!

After a 4 month comparo of the two 5 blade razors I have come to the following conclusion.

- Both 5 blade razors do shave better than 2 or 3 blade razors.
- Both 5 blade razors last longer than than 2 or 3 blade razors.
- There is little difference between the 2 razors, so buy the one that is lower price.
- They both float on the face if too much shaving cream is used, so use a thin film of shaving cream.

Verdict : Yes, I would buy it over the 2 or 3 blade razors, but do not have a preference for one brand over the other.

Never did the 4 blade, was comparing 5 blade to 5 blade, which is better than any 2 or 3 blades I have tried.

The starter kit with handle is $12 - $16. The 4 pack blades are $15, but I did see some on sale for $7 for a 4 pack of blades.

I'm a gilette guy, but I got a couple schicks for free in a promo and the hydro 5 is really winning me over. Coupled with clinique gel, closest shave I've ever gotten.

I've been using the Gillette Fusion razor for a while now and absolutely loved it.

I bought some Proglide blades and I've been comparing them to the old Fusion.

It seems to me that Proglide are smoother but get duller quicker than the Fusion. Does anyone else have the same observation?

10 years from now if this site is still around, someone will start a thread announcing that the new 10 blade shavers are better than the old 7 blade shavers or 5 blade shavers.

+1!
I find they do get dull sooner than the Fusion.
The ads say that the Proglide has the thinnest blades ever, so thats why they may become dull sooner. I have not noticed that they become dull sooner, but then it my be because I do not have a heavy growth of hair every day. The Hydro 5 blades are heavier and may last longer. As I have said, I do not see a big difference between the two blades.

Been using Fusion and best blades I've ever used, now trying ProGlide and will see the difference, yes to 5 blades for reasons above.

+1, thinner blades and won't hold the edge as long. I haven't tried the 5's but the 4 from either brand was better than the 2's and 3's. I don't need another proprietor handle banging round my drawer. Maybe someday I make the jump.

I noticed that none the lady members have contributed comments. This head to head comparison of something one uses for 3 minutes a day, maybe, is a guy thing.
