I have a number of gold coins I've been hanging onto for awhile and was thinking of cashing them in. Any advice from the membership as to my best place to take them?? I understand that gold is at an all time high.
Thanks in advance

In order to intelligently answer the question it would help to know are you speaking of numismatic gold coins: Guineas, Louis d'or, Sovereigns, Eagles etc. . . or bullion gold coins: Maple Leafs, Krugerrands, Pandas etc. . .

The former a significant part of the value is the coin itself, the later it is almost entirely, if not entirely the metal value.

If you are ever in montreal you can drop off your coins in person.

Or at least you can with silver pre 68 coins.

If your coins have worth much beyond the gold value you might want to look elsewhere.

You are a little late to the game. I was buying gold coins in 2001, when gold was just $370 an ounce. But we need fools like you to unload onto. But then there maybe greater fools 5-10 years from now you can unload your gold onto at even higher value.

Sell to the fools. sell.

This depends on how you want to sell the coins. For the comparative retail value of the coin itself or for the bullion value. If you're strapped for cash then selling the coins for the bullion value would be much quicker BUT you won't get as much compared to selling the coins for the coinage value.

I agree with Bandit .... DO NOT even think of going to Harold and especially not to Oliver... The guy's a crook! He tried to rip off a friend of mine once over a diamond engagement ring she was thinkin about selling.

If you're interested in selling them for the bullion value then send me a PM and I'll tell you the place that Harold and Oliver sell THEIR gold too. GUARANTEED you'll get more money than you can elsewhere and you'll have the cash in your hand within minutes.

I already have my stash of 1oz gold bars for the apocalypse, but I'm hearing from sources I trust that keep saying silver, silver, silver, for the future. Something to consider.

In the event of apoclypse, guns and food are worth a lot more than gold

A few years ago when I was wholesaling silver and gold jewelry, silver was selling for a little over $13 / oz. and gold about $365 / oz. If I only knew back then what they go for now!!!

This is just the standard pump and dump scheme that has been going on forever. Gold will fall and people that have invested too much will be kicking themselves!
