My Galaxy has gone to hell and back and it's amazing what Gorilla Glass had to put up with.
I tried searching for a post I did about Gorilla Glass, the shit is amazing. For day to day abuse, keys, change, whatever else in your pocket, it's amazing.
I even tried keying the crap out of it and nothing.

Yes, very cool... I think Apple's been using it for 5 years.... although I don't think they comment on if they use it now.
Corning is really stretching the view of what can be done with glass - great example of American innovation.
Another case where the global supply chain determine where the work happens, while the original plant in KY is still operating, and has been expanded, other plants have been opened in Asia to fill the need....

Apple did use Corning glass up untill the iPhone 4(as mentioned in Jobs biography....but it didn't say if it was the Gorilla version)they then switched to glass from Lens Technology International(because it was cheaper). Square Trade did a study finding iPhone 4 glass breaks 82% more than that on an iPhone 3GS
furthermore checking Cornings Gorilla Glass products page there is no mention of Apple http://www.corninggorillaglass.com/products-with-gorilla/full-products-list
