i want to fuck you like an animal
i want to feel you from the inside
i want to fuck you like an animal
my whole existence is flawed
you get me closer to god

Trent Reznor

How's that for modern lyrics?

Chris Whitley...."Border Town"

"Out on the range in a season too soon
No electric light up in my room
With a dark skinned woman I"m naked and sane
you can learn about the world in an afternoon"

"When you came round I loved you well
when you got paid it was harder to tell
now I got no grind with cruel gold
I'm just sittin round wonderin what next to sell"

you come awake
in a horny morning mood
and we’ll have a proper wriggle
in the naughty naked nude
roll against my body
get me where you want me
what happens next is private
it’s also very rude

I don't have any quirky sexual type lyrics but I swear to god that Jimmy Buffett was singing about my golf game when he penned .

" some of its magic and some of it's tragic" from the song He Went to Paris.

Grandpa pissed his pants again
He don't give a damn
Brother Billy's got both guns drawn
He ain't been right since Vietnam

Sweet home Alabama
Play that dead band's song
Sweet home Alabama
Play it all Night Long

Daddy's doing sister Sally
Mama's dying of cancer now
The cattle all got brocellocious
We'll get through somehow

Sweet home Alabama
Play that dead band's song
Sweet home Alabama
Play it all Night Long

I'll go down to the Dew Drop Inn
See if I can drink enough
There ain't much to country living
Sweat, piss, jizz and blood

Sweet home Alabama
Play that dead band's song
Sweet home Alabama
Play it all Night Long

Thunder Road is a classic and while we are speaking about Roy Orbison how about:
"I was alright for a while I even smiled for a while
But I saw you last night, you held my hand so tight
While you stopped to say hello
You wished me well, you couldn't tell
That I'd been cry-i-i-ing over you

There's something about this song that gets to me. I was a big KISS fan.

Words and music by rick nielsen (Cheap Trick)

Mother told me, yes, she told me i'd meet girls like you.
She also told me, "stay away, you'll never know what you'll catch."
Just the other day i heard a soldier falling off some indonesian junk that's going
round.

Mommy's alright, daddy's alright, they just seem a little weird.
Surrender, surrender, but don't give yourself away, ay, ay, ay.

Father says, "your mother's right, she's really up on things."
"before we married, mommy served in the wacs in the philippines."
Now, i had heard the wacs recruited old maids for the war.
But mommy isn't one of those, i've known her all these years.

Mommy's alright, daddy's alright, they just seem a little weird.
Surrender, surrender, but don't give yourself away, ay, ay, ay.

Whatever happened to all this season's losers of the year?
Ev'ry time i got to thinking, where'd they disappear?
When i woke up, mom and dad are rolling on the couch.
Rolling numbers, rock and rolling, got my KISS records out.

Mommy's alright, daddy's alright, they just seem a little weird.
Surrender, surrender, but don't give yourself away, ay, ay, ay.

Away.
Away.

Repeat chorus 7x

I don't believe in an interventionist God
But I know, darling, that you do
But if I did I would kneel down and ask Him
Not to intervene when it came to you
Not to touch a hair on your head
To leave you as you are
And if He felt He had to direct you
Then direct you into my arms

S ontario
Buying bread from a man in Brussels
He was six foot four and full of muscles
I said, "Do you speak-a my language?"
He just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandwich

I don't know what it is about me but I always seem to love the lyrics of songs that get me nostalgic for my lost and squandered youth. They kind of get me sad but still put a grin on my face

As cheesy as it is I just can't help loving these Bryan Adams Lyrics

Standin on your mother's porch
You told me that that it'd last forever
Oh and when you held my hand
I knew that it was now or never
Those were the best days of my life

And then there was this one that was big when I was in high school

I can see you
your brown skin shining in the sun
You got that top pulled down and that radio on baby.
I can tell you my love for you will still be strong
After the boys of summer have gone.

I can see you
your brown skin shining in the sun
You got your hair slicked back and your way fairers on baby.
And I can tell you my love for you will still be strong
After the boys of summer have gone.

And I just love this new song from Jeremy Fisher called, appropriately, Highschool. (Makes me want to call up some old friends and have a beer and say "remember when..."

Bubble gum and house parties when you stole your Parents rum and tried to screw everything that could breath
Back in Highschool we didn't have a whole lot to do and watched the world go by on television screen
Said it's the nineties kids that's way out, this is way in go beat each other up on the dance floor
They told us drugs were no good but then we smoked'em and Liked'em so much we smoked a little more
We liked em so much we smoked a little more

Did I call you name, did you hear me
Singing that song I wrote for you
You're so the same, but you're so different
I didn't recongnize you

It's kinda hard with all that sexual confusion sometimes you don't know if you're gay or straight
But what's the difference, it's a wonderful delusion and most times you won't make it past second base
I'm in a band, we kinda suck but we don't know it yet and I don't care anyway
Soon I'm gonna sell those drums, pay my rent, support my kid and tell him all about way back in daddy's day
I'll tell him all about back in daddy's day

Did I call you name, did you hear me
Singing that song I wrote for you
You're so the same, but you're so different
I didn't recongnize you

Some years later by a soda coolerator
In the corner store back in my hometown,
This stranger smiles at me
He said remember the class of '93 and For some reason it makes him look real proud
After all the good times he said we had he looks at me scatches his head and asks me where the hell I ever went
The funny thing is, I never even knew him
But he could've been any one my high school friends

Did I call you name, did you hear me
Singing that song I wrote for you
You're so the same, but you're so different
I didn't recongnize you

Thank you Lord, thank you Jesus

Rolling Stones
Far Away Eyes

I was driving home early Sunday morning through Bakersfield
Listening to gospel music on the colored radio station
And the preacher said, "You know you always have the
Lord by your side"

And I was so pleased to be informed of this that I ran
Twenty red lights in his honor
Thank you Jesus, thank you lord

I had an arrangement to meet a girl, and I was kind of late
And I thought by the time I got there she'd be off
She'd be off with the nearest truck driver she could find
Much to my surprise, there she was sittin in the corner
A little bleary, worse for wear and tear
Was a girl with far away eyes

So if you're down on your luck
And you can't harmonize
Find a girl with far away
And if you're downright disgusted
And life ain't worth a dime
Get a girl with far away eyes

Well the preacher kept right on saying that all I had to do was send
Ten dollars to the church of the sacred bleeding heart of Jesus
Located somewhere in Los Angeles, California
And next week they'd say my prayer on the radio
And all my dreams would come true
So I did, the next week, I got a prayer with a girl
Well, you know what kind of eyes she got

So if you're down on your luck
I know you all sympathize
Find a girl with far away eyes
And if you're downright disgusted
And life ain't worth a dime
Get a girl with far away eyes
