In terms of hair length, I got it to a decent medium length which should be enough. From 99' Eyes Wide Shut, Tom's got this refined slick back/sidepart look. Would pomade work best or some other product recommendations for this specific hairstyle?

As a former boy band member of the highlights and brown hair club, KMS hairstyling paste was the hands down winner for myself and clubbing buddies. But if you're used to pomade and need more control go with pomade, KMS has that as well.
Either way, KMS.

Great brand, don't need a lot of it either.
Exactly what I need, want to be using little possible. Not a fan of using too many products. With pomade I tried, but to get any kind of shape, I need to scoop up 3 or 4 times. Even then, it doesn't last long. I do have very, very thick hair so that could be the reason.

Try the paste on of my buddies, Chinese/Italian mix has insanely thick hair, long with an undercut and still uses KMS molding paste to this day and does the job for him after all these years.

If not, Joico used to be the other brand I used which was pretty good as well, but once we all tried KMS... never looked back.
