Yes...happy birthday to one of the most overrated and least deserving hall of fame hockey players of all time.

It's not Guy Carbonneau that I don't like it's all the people around him that surround him with all the glory and accolades. If he had played for Detroit,Toronto, Chicago, etc. etc. he wouldn't have won any awards, wouldn't be in the hockey Hall of Fame but the Habs promote him above what his value is and this is what you get, an overated player.

And my point is the Selke Award as "Best Defensive Forward" is a weak, unnecessary award, it was created originally so Bob Gainey could win something...Carbonneau had 260 career goals and 663 career points in 19 seasons, those are not Hall of Fame numbers.
Who do you think was the better player and belongs in the Hall of Fame...Carbonneau or any of Gilmour, Gretzky, Francis, Andreychuk or Yzermasn?
And I've never heard of Defensive Point Shares before...what is that?
