Absolutely this is what is happening. I wonder if those studies that say married men are better off need to be updated.
Perhaps they are surveying the old couples that are now dying out. They were married under completely different conditions.
Men should become less emotional and treat marriage as the experiment it is.

It shouldn't be an experiment. I think people should wait until they are older(at least 30s) to decide if marriage is right or not. People change and their values change with age as well. Many of the men on this forum could save themselves a lot of headache by just leaving an unhappy marriage.

If a women holds out until her early thirties and then wants a family that could be a red flag. Also, habits such as overspending often do not change.
