Hey guys. I've only been on this site for a short time but I notice there are a few serial posters on this site. I'm not saying that's either good or bad but on line chat seems to me like a drug to them that's compensating for something laking in their personal lives compared to normal people.

I'm curious to hear their thoughts on this. They won't want to reply in this thread but they will. :)

Why didn't you just ask those people directly?

Some are here because they are addicted to the hobby, not the board.

Some are here because they are addicted to the community not the hobby.

Some are here {like me} because this is our business. Where we make money, advertise and social/business network. Besides, I like to flirt with Mod.

Some are compensating for a lack of something in their personal life, some are enhancing it by being here. I am personally enhancing my bank account, my portfolio of pictures and websites and even enhancing my circle of friends.

Why are you here?

This Board does have entertainment value:p. Sort of like watching reruns of Seinfeld, the Big Bang Theory, Jon Stewart (Jewish guy with a Scottish name), etc. Also, some serious questions do get answered sometimes. A poster once gave me advice on how to change my Yahoo clock which formerly was on Hawaiian time.

BTW: When you get together for family Sunday dinner, how much of the conversation is of major import and how much is bullcrap?

Fuji is actually a Latvian dwarf. One of only two in the entire nation of Latvia. However, most Latvians stopped staring at Fuji when the second dwarf was born. On Latvia's national holiday they dress Fuji up in Latvia's national colours and run him up the flag pole.
