Hi...

I want to make some custom t-shirts. Using Hanes T-shirt making kit. There are steps I cant physically do.

I need:
  1. An inkjet printer---I'll pay for the ink I use
  2. Some good quality white t shirts--i'll pay for. The T-shirts don't need to be Hanes. Size medium.
  3. The transfer paper--I'll pay for the pack.Click link for info on the transfer paper http://www.hanes2u.com/sec_shop/shop_home.htm or get Avery 3271 for light colored t-shirts or Avery 3279 for dark colored t-shirts.
  4. An iron

This could take a afternoon if done all at once. You could do it over serveral days if you prefer. As of now, it is 4 shirts in total.

These shirts are not for me. They are for someone very special to me so if you can help I'll be in your debt.

I am willing to allow the printing to the transfer paper and ironing happen at your place. The software is free & I'll provide it amd all needed files if you want to do this at your place. I will do all the designing of the t-shirts.

Pm me if you want to help me.

If you don't mind paying this price you can look in the yellow pages for print shops that offer this kind of service. They will do eveything for you. You just have to email all the logos or pictures you want on the shirts and they will print them on, and they usually have a selection of shirts to choose from. I know of one near yonge and finch. I believe it is called E-Biz Printing or something like that. This will save you some time. I believe thay can courier it to you when they are done. Good luck...

Great adivice Phnine, but I am guessing Tony wants to keep the project cost effective, as well as keeping it within the TERB community.

Well it really isn't too bad. I think it is something like $30 a shirt. All inclusive. I could be wrong. If I was in town I would even pick up for ya. But I am not, but give them a call you never know what deals you can find out there.

I don't even think it is that much...I seem to remember doing some a while ago and it was about $10.00 a shirt, plus the shirt.

PHNINE...

Thank you but I am in London Ont (yes I posted this on the london board with no luck) and 1 design is borderline adult (its funny but adult)

However if you want you could call some print shops & price this out(I can't speak & the staff dont have time to call around)

It will need to be done via the net.

screen printing is so much fun !

We used this method (the link above )last year at the art festival in Toronto so we could keep our prices more resonable then the norm there that is soo over priced ..... which benefited in the long run cause we sold out . If your not comfortable with doing it this way
currys has a kit thats really cheap im not sure if one in LOndon but any artsy store should have a kit if you dont like it this way (but you wont get any more resonable then this method above....... www.currys.com kewl thing is they will help you with lots of advice but i prefered the first method
one important thing speedball is the best ink and so is the modge podge for glue (fill in the negative space ) instead of tape .... and i found sheer curtains the best ...(the nylon tended to cause to many errors )if you need any more help pm me we also found a wholsaler that sold us white tshirts for 2.50 a shirt the same quality as the 10 $ ones but the only thing is you need to buy a gross

have fun !

Unfortunately it would be difficult for me to do the reasearch for you as I am in Hong Kong right now. The long distnace calling would be expensive in itself. Please continue this thread and see if anyone that is local will further assist you.
