Am trying to install a simple Dell printer and am having no luck.
Actually it is a re-install, because the same printer worked fine on the same computer 6 months ago.
Anyways, I cannot get it done. I seem to get aan error message that says "Operation could not be completed. The print spooler service is not running." What does this mean?

you can try to start the printer spool service by going to start>run>services.msc and find the 'printer spool' from the list. double click on the item to open and start the service and then try again. hope this works for u.

Thanks that one looks interesting.
Tried it a few ways, got freakin' frustrated and am giving up.

Will try it again later after a few drinks. Maybe have to dig deeper into something in the safe mode option.
Fuckkkk!!!!

I would NEVER buy a Dell printer!
Have only heard complaints about Dell printers.
Dell printers are very proprietary for parts and heard will only use Dell ink cartridges!

You need to click on the graphic of the cartoon guy holding a wrench. You may have to restart your system thereafter. Don't give up. Recall i went through a few sessions before getting it right.

You would think that in this day and age, you could simply plug in a printer and it would just farking work. Or connect to the Internet. Or "self-repair" software conflicts...
