buy a card reader for $30-$50 at future shop and then you will not need software to download the pics to your computer

maybe you should also try finding the updated software at the manufacturers site, if there is any

Cardreader is the best way to go. I have one for each of my computers. I find the memory cards very convenient to transfer any type of file and the card reader makes it very simple.

Is your computer too old to load the software?? You might not have the minimum requirements. I had that problem with some software with my old computer (a PII233 lol)

make sure you shut down all other programs running (press <control> <alt> <delete> keys together to get the close program box) Do not close explorer and systray. Then try to load the software.

Kara,

would help to know what OS (windows what) and cam you have.

On an older computer you might notbe able to get the software up if it were written for XP. That is not to say the Manufacturer will not have a software patch or download to overcome this.

Sorry about the sarcasm but i always find it amusing when windows people have problems with the worlds most used OS........... It always amazes me with so many people buying it that there would be any problems.

It seems to me that it's mostly user error. Computers are just hardware and software, and for the most part they need human interaction to tell them what to do.

If you have WindowsXP, just power on the digital camera and plug in the cable to your USB slot. WinXP will autodetect and autoinstall the necessary drivers as well as bring up the "My Camera Wizard" to transfer files.
