I was just reading another thread and followed a link to The Red Zone and I couldn't believe all the crap that popped up on my screen. I had to kill six different windows before I could look at the original page I was linking to!
What are these guys thinking? Do any of you stop to read pop-ups when they happen or do you, like me, get pissed off and shut them down without a glance?
I wonder if these types of pages are even a worthwhile advertising idea. They are so annoying that, at best, I ignore them. In some cases, I may actually avoid sites that I know have many pop-up windows. I'm unlikely to return to TRZ's site in the future without a really good reason, for example.
Am I just anal about these things or do you guys feel the same way?
