im looking to post a "hiring" thread or so for a place i am opening up that involves food.

i was wondering what the best place to put "hiring" signs, outside of my window of my place.

any suggestions where to look?

If I understand what you are asking, "where is the best place to post an ad for hiring someone for my business", I would avoid the job board at HRDC. You will get 200 resumes of unqualified, non- English speaking misfits who show up to the interview clueless about the job they are applying to get. They must have a service at HRDC where they automatically send the resumes out to 1000 job postings or something.
I like the idea of posting a sign outside your window.

newspaper ads... NOW, EYE, SUN, STAR, Local papers.. these will cost you money though.

hiring agencies.. will cost money.

Other than that... word of mouth... free

I would suggest that it depends on the location and type of business. Bartenders, servers, line cooks etc. are always looking for work - for some reason the industry turnover is huge. If you're in a trendy area where there's lots of food outlets, word-of-mouth will take you a long way. The sign on the window might even be overkill - unless you want one that says 'No Help Wanted' to keep out the riffraff...

Then again, if it's a shawarma place in the suburbs...
