Does anyone else ever go back to the old pages listed? Like 5152 to check out what was happening back then, who was posting, old topics? A lot of members are no longer around, but there are a few, Kathleen for instance on the last page.

This place was way better when I joined. Almost no politics, people had a sense of humour. Politics and political correctness has killed this board just like it's killing society in general. IMO

Not to mention there are definitely more 'moderator protected' handles on the board now that makes direct, honest discussion difficult in many threads, and calling out those handle's overt bullshit is the biggest political taboo there is here. One wrong step, they cry behind the scenes, and your posts/handle goes *poof*

I agree I've seen a huge transformation of this board since 2000. I've also seen many really good things happen because of Terb. As with any open forum your going to get lively debate, arguments, and a healthy dose of nut case's. People were much more chill back in the day and there was a lot more participation by the ladies is miss that.

Maybe it is good the ladies have gone. It avoids complaints, getting banned, suspended for saying anything that can be misinterpreted.

I started a thread awhile ago.. is law watching us.... I sort of meant the real LE, but more towards internal here.

BTW I do go back once awhile to check what I posted on same topic that was covered long time ago, and to see if my opinion changed from that day.

im not so sure about "more chill"...there were alot of flame wars back in the day, and rude and obnoxious posters.......maybe our memories have faded...........but i agree..more ladies contributed than now...

JW, that is very well said and those consequences you speak of are real and are happening probably daily and can not be questioned.

Things changed when Fred Zed passed. I think it used to be more balanced and there was consistency in who and what was banned.
