Anyone going to the Honda Indy this weekend?

I haven't been there in years, I used to watch it for free at the top of the grassy knoll (I'd get there early and stake my place at the top)on the south side of lakeshore blvd at turn#3, the tight turn at end of lake shore straight away. Most of the passing is done there. Anyone else do the same?

Wow, not many open wheel racing fans here.

I agree that you can watch sports better on TV, heck most people that go to games especially baseball, are texting mostly, lol

I went years ago on an invite by a supplier, which even included a paddock pass.

Very interesting. Michael Andretti was still racing then.

Not going this year, but it's a fun event. I went last year when I got some passes for the VIP section on the front straight opposite the pits, it was my first time there in probably 10 years or more. Certainly an enjoyable outing.

I had a co worker who worked part time in security, his company did the race , he would let me and my friends in for free for a number of years although we didn't have any seats, it was fun roaming around the grounds experiencing he sights and sounds.

Just got back from Saturday time trials

How does it work?

They seem to race in groups of five over several laps (they are called formula one cars are they not?)

Fastest time for top 12 over one lap?

Trucks Marshall inside food building (paddock)

I was inside watching them repair a damaged car and technician turned to lady and said car would not be ready to go and she started to cry

Does next fastest go in such a case ?

You get a decent view of the turn at Princess gates but suggest grandstand pass

Super trucks race is amazing as they leap over two jumps

In the turn some go up om two wheels
