Got a different notebook but it won't go on-line to the internet. Something about a wrong IP address  How do I find mine and enter it to my new notebook,

thanks.

Were you hooking your old pc directly to the box provided my your Internet Provider? If so, a lot of ISP's tie your connection to a specific MAC address (a unique identifier that is (theoretically) different for every network card.) Your ISP should be able to change this... Alternatively use a router....

The IP address is three 2 digit numbers and 1 set of 3 digit numbers..not sure if I should post them on-line.
