I'll be in Toronto to hit the MP scene in mid feb. Thanks for all the great TERB reviews. I almost feel like I dont need to go anymore. My plan is to go to about three of them over 4 days. When I return I'll post my reviews.

Need help with a hotel first....

Park Hyatt in Yorkville
Westin Harbour Castle
Hilton Downtown
Fairmont Royal York

Your comments will be very appreciated.

Westin - Nice. A bit set off from the downtown core though. Water views are nice.
Royal York - very well located, walkable within the financial district, a bit frumpy but still nice. I'd recommend the club floor.
Hilton - the Hilton is the Hilton. Need I say more?
Park Hyatt - Slightly off the financial district beaten path. But good location for government business. Get an east side room for a city scape view. South views are nice too. You may catch a star or 2 in Sotto Sotto which is a decent restaurant up the street on Avenue Road.

All are nice hotels. I usually recommend the Royal York to out of towners since it is so centrally located and easily found when drunk on six Martini dinners. Also an easy cab ride to the Brass Rail or to For Your Eyes Only (preferred).

Enjoy your stay!

where my heart is
Try this!

I hate to let a good secret out. The Comfort Suites on Jarvis, though there is no longer any room service or bar as I recall, have the best rooms value for money. You can get a heart shaped
jacuzzi bath tub in your bedroom, fireplace - albeit fake, yet the mood is there, single floor or two story penthouse for about $175 - $200 a night. Bring in your own treats and beverages, it's great!
While I too love all the class of a wonderfull hotel it's services and ambiance, it is the room you end up spending your time in for these occasions and I think it would be hard to beat this hotel.

If passing by you should go in and ask to see one of these rooms.
