Isn't advertising sex for money considered solicitation and illegal?

For example, there are overt ads such as:

need quick money by mid-week? hot model wanted for amateur hj video; $1000 for one-time shoot taking place this tuesday; respond with a topless pic at min.
Compensation: $1000/shoot

I've always wondered as I've received emails from postings I've had that sound like LE wanting specific details of services rendered for cash.

I believe solicitation is asking if someone will perform an act on you in exchange for money. As far as I know, offering companionship in exchange for money is legal.

Making X-rated movies is legal--even in my goody goody no topless clubs town I live in.

A few years ago, some guy was paying women like $500 for videos of them being tied up and spank naked. Well this one women went and signed the contract and afterwards had some marks on her butt. He B.F. went over there and hit the guy in the face. The police arrested the B.F. but were ticked off they could not arrest the guy taking the films...they were asking any other women to come forward to see if in their case he might have broke the law. Never hear anything more about it, so likely the creep got off.

I don't understand...the B.F. was arrested for hitting the guy--likely the most minor charge they could do--they had to since the guy wanted him arrested.

The guy making the movies just tick off the police and they were trying to find anything at all to arrest the guy...they-the police-are not big city cops-just a bunch of small town boys in a mid size city trying to keep the town family friendly--in their eyes.

Heck they even bust 17 year olds for smoking--the law is 18 here in Michigan. They drive around when high school is letting off looking for kids smoking....but back when I went to high school, we could even smoke at school as long as we went outside...how in 20 years things change.
