When I lived in Montreal it was not unusual to see huge French Catholic and Irish Catholic families. I doubt that will ever happen again. 2 kids is probably the norm, 4 is almost unheard of.

3 for me... 2 of the most precious of girls. They are 19 and 20 now, and I love them to pieces! I also have a son, whom I love dearly as well, but differently of course. He's 22 now, and we hang out etc. Put all 3 of them through college, and it dam near broke me, (2 are still in college), but I wouldn't trade it for anything.

I was recently talking with some business colleagues, over dinner, about our respective off spring, I described my son: "he's a good kid, and a hard worker, but he needs to refocus his energy." When prompted, I added: "Well if they gave out PHD's for smoking weed and playing video games, he'd be set for life!"

I use to play hockey with a bunch of guys. One night in the dressing room one of the guys asked our goalie how many kids he had. The reply was 5 kids. 4 girls and 1 boy. The boy was adopted.
