a good base is what it's going for on Ebay...make the dollar conversion and you pretty much have your price. When I've sold things I'f fond idtentical or similar items and follwed the sale to completion to see what it eventualy went for.

It's at least a start on what peple will be willing to pay.

I'd say it's worth about a pack of cigarettes and a bag of doritos. Sorry to be blunt, you *might* find someone on ebay willing to take it off your hands, but hell there are ipods out with more firepower than that...

$200 max

With the price of new laptops now in the low $600 range, they have never been more affordable.

Old laptops suffer from dying batteries and typical wear and tear.

However, if it is in very good shape, you may be able to unload it on ebay as recommended for that price.

I concur with the $200 price point.

I've sold a couple of compaqs with similar specs (excellent condition) on eBay and CL for around that price. (p3-1ghz, 256-512 ram, 20gb hdd)

PCs and laptops depreciate faster than cars!

Around Buffalo brand new laptops start at $500.
If you can find someone foolish enough to shell out $100-200 for a used antique of a laptop......... take the money and run.........;)

Yup! That's why I sold off most of my demo gear.

That being said ... sometimes some people just want to spend minimal amounts on a 2nd/3rd laptop and these older machines fill a niche. I passed a similar machine to my dad who just surfs and word processes.

Entry level laptops are getting so cheap, that's why price of older models is so low.

This week at Future Shop you can get a Gateway refurb entry level laptop for 449.99
Best Buy in the Galleria Mall, has a brand new Toshiba laptop for $450.
