Hi all,
Looking for a little advice from the community. I have been given a new staffing number for the upcomming quarter and in no uncertain terms, I need to let some people go. I have been given layoff packages to offer that are actualy fairly decent, but and there is always a but, I have been asked to lowball and see what the reaction is to the initial offering. My question is this, should I present to those affected and tell my boss that no one was very receptive to the initial offering even though I believe some will just sign and walk away not realising there is more available. Am I being to human? I have let people go in the past and it really didn't bother me both layoff and termination, but this time, for some reason it is getting to me...
What say all of you?????
