Un-Fucking-believable!!!

The KING OF ALL MEDIA does it again!!!!!

Lets see how many other D.J. jump on the band wagon, and claim this idea for themselves.

I would love to hear how funny he could be without the FCC.

Interview of celebrities

No one can beat Stern when it comes to interviewing celebrities on his show. I believe he most times brings out the real person in the celebrity and makes the person seem more normal. His questioning allows a great insight into who the celebrity is (in real terms). I don't always agree with all the stuff on the show esp wrt bodily functions et al, but the show is funny and entertaining. I hope the CRTC OK's the deal to allow Canadians to listen to the satellite network. It helps (not now) that the NHL has a deal with the same network.

While I occasionally listen to Stern, I would not spend money for satellite radio (approx $20 US/month) to do so.

I agree with you Geographic... and I think Stern's news coverage is always excellent. His grass roots approach to getting rid of Bush I also think will have greater impact than a lot of people imagine.

As for Sirius, F the CRTC. I was going to subscribe this fall anyway and this locks it down... all you need is someone in the US to do the registration for you. I also think a company in Quebec may provide this service as well.

I believe it is 13USD a month. I imagine Stern will be a subscription extra.

I love radio.. grew up on it.. have shortwaves.. etc. I think standard radio is dead. Commercials are intrusive... the music is pathetic... and the personalities are losers. With Satellite, you get more music, more programming options, it goes on and on. Things like Air America... radio theater.. comedy networks... music... sports... I think it has huge programming benefits. With Stern added, I doubt I will listen to regular radio again... feedback from people I know with Sirius has been nothing but positive...

I can take the guy in very small doses but don't think I'll pay extra for satellite radio. My big problem with his show is that when he's really "on" I laugh so hard can't control my driving.

As for his interviews, here's one interviewee's take on Stern. (If you're old enough, you may just remember this singer.) Just click on "Doing Howard Stern."

To Stern's critics, I'd really like to know who you think gives a better interview than him? Barbara Walters? Larry King? Puh-lease. You may not like the content, but his method is one of the best.

As for Stern being a has-been. That's simply not the case. He's one of the biggest radio draws in the US. Don't confuse your dislike of him for lack of talent...

After being a regular listener for over 10 years...yes- Stern can make you wet your pants laughing...yes- He is a very good interviewer...no- I won't pay for sirius radio to hear him, though I do agree, without the shackles of the FCC, he could be a riot....

IMO, Stern might not be as good on satellite as he is on FM. The reason? Part of what makes his show so good is how he must keep his guests from "crossing the line" through the use of excessive swearing, sexual innuendo, etc. What he must do now, however, is a joke. But I kinda liked how there was a line that he would sometimes cross and sometimes not.

On satellite, it'll be a free-for-all. After a while, it'll be "too" shocking to the point that it becomes blase.

And I wouldn't pay for it either. Well, maybe if it came with a new car. But I kinda like listening to local content.

BUT hes degrading to women...
And by being a prostitute you are regarded as a heroine to women? A role model for young women to look up to?

There is a big difference between selling yourself out as opposed to some loud-mouthed DJ coming across as a sexual pervert.

Geez, wake up and smell reality!!!

People are entiled to their opinion. I personally think Howard rocks but your comments to Leggs was uncalled for. Considering the website this is your comments are almost hypocritical.
