Since all this talk of phones, I came across this bad boy on Engadget.
http://www.engadget.com/2011/05/27/htc-sensation-review/

Can't imagine the stuff that'll be out in 5 years time from now.
HTC make a good phone, there sales are up over 88% from last year till now.

first quarter next year Android will be shipping quad core phones and by 2013 should be rivaling desktop performance. five years from now will definitely be interesting

QUAD CORE PHONES in less than a year?
Wtf, I'm still on a Core 2 Duo - don't need anything more than that at the moment. But quads will be in phones before I possibly upgrade? LOL

LMAO! your core 2 duo will be surpassed in Aug or Sept this year in new Android tablets running the quad core nvidia tegra 3(kal el)

you can see the roadmap for quad core in mobile and the core 2 duo baseline

I was once an HTC Sense fan but I find vanilla or close to vanilla android simpler and quicker now.. Will not buy a phone I cannot load an alternate rom on. Lately have been running Cyanogen 7.1 RC1 and MIUI.

Cousin's gf bought it off me.
I'm talking about my PC being a Core 2 Duo, not my phone.

HTC's are really sweet if you're into Android / Windows Phone. They add a lot of extra value, especially for average users. Build quality is solid too. And when you compare HTC sense to Motoblur, Sense is a savor.

I wouldn't know because I've never had an issue but given I've rooted and put a non-HTC rom on mine, if I had warranty I doubt it would be valid any more.
XDA keeps the factory ROM on file. As long as you can power on the device, you should be OK. Also HTC has announced a unlocked bootloader policy for all devices going forward. So maybe they will cover warranty as long as you don't brick your device due to flashing?

HTC is great.
