No, I don’t think it was brandedThe problem is that optometrists are caught in a big sqeeze. Outside of Toronto the 19-64 age group is a smaller demographic, so that optometrists cannot charge enough patients high enough to cover their losses on OHIP defined payments for those over 65 and under 18. Optometrists have to make up the difference in the prescription cost.
But they face competition for glasses from Parker Warbly, and Walmart among others.
