Most users go on twitter x for the porn and sports. Not so much for the politics or religious beliefs.
When you join twitter you get spammed 3 days and counting of trump bulldhit infact Elon musk is the guy behind the paywall who made Trump president. His businesses were all under radar. Much of the time the fact checking doesn't work anymore because it's either misinformation itself, or else subject to bias so that some interpretations are valued higher than other equally valid interpretations. Yes, Trump is a misinformation machine, and sometimes Musk can be that way as well. But if you think they have a monopoly on misinformation, you're sadly mistaken. Yeeting their influence out of existence wouldn't stop misinformation from poisoning the brains of our youth. The only realistic solution is to teach our kids to think critically. But the people who claim to fight misinformation don't want that, because then the critically thinking youth will also question them.
I'm thinking of starting up my own YT channel similar to Vice where I interview folks. Let me interview you OP. You can choose to show your face or not. Either way you can read and sign the contract. You can also vent how fast food and processed food is junk, but you're too lazy to boil or bake vegetables and openly admit you still eat that junk often because it tastes sooo much better and it's their fault especially for your obesity.
