The third wave of COVID-19 is putting a lot of strain on ICUs across the country and doctors say this cohort of patients is significantly younger than in previous waves.

ICU's are past capacity.

A major problem is that there are still patients in the ICU's from the first wave. Patients could stay in the ICU's for weeks, months, years before there is a final resolution.

I saw some "MASH" units outside Sunnybrook.

"The Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (MASH) refers to a United States Army medical unit serving as a fully functional hospital in a combat area of operations. The units were first established in August 1945, and were deployed during the Korean War and later conflicts."

Wow. Young people die of the flu? Maybe we should spend millions of taxpayer dollars to pay for flu vaccines.

I don't understand the hysteria these Doctors are creating over our ICUs being overun with young essential working folks, aren't these the same folks defiantly engaging in after-work socializing, bar-hopping, party mongering activities. Why not preach to these folks to follow public health regulations? Why prioritize them for vaccine jabs? Isn't this rewarding them for bad behaviour?

The problem is these same young clowns are taking it home to older folks.

Some of them might be from carelessness but many are getting it at work where they have to deal with hundreds of people every day.

We do have a few more ICU beds but the problem is lack of qualified staff (they don't grow on trees). So, where will we get those extra staff?
a) Atlantic Canada
b) U.S.
c) U.K.
d) Australia
e) The PRC
