Check out homestars.com. I have been very pleased with all sorts of people I have found through candid reviews there. I recall an outfit called, I believe, Emerald Movers, that people were raving about a year or two back. A couple of polite, educated young Irish fellows based in East York around Broadview/O'Connor.

Mackie out of Oshawa is great; but not cheap.

Their staff are pro's; the drivers are usually their best long haul guys who are available to take the job.

I don't know about that, I used Mackies and it was without a doubt the worst move I have ever eperienced. They are not pros at all and the staff have a attitude that is totaly unprofessional.
I would recommend 2 man and a Truck, they are very dependable, friendly and reasonable, but, most importantly, if they are late or something does happen, THEY WILL TAKE RESPONCEABILITY for damages, unlike Mackies.

PS, I won't have Mackies move my dogs house!!!!!!!

Interesting; they’ve move me three times and all without an issue. If anything they’ve bent over backwards from a customer service perspective.

And no, I have no affiliation with them.

How much stuff do you have and how far is it moving? That can determine what type of company you're considering. I've dealt with Hudson's and Tippet for fairly large moves and they handled it very well.
Good luck with your move.

They tell you that the rate is $45/hour and collect a security deposit of $600.00. Then after your belongings are in the truck, they tell you that the rate went up because of {insert excuse here}. You are then told that they need $700 more and when you refuse, they unload your belongings from the truck and put it on the grass. You are forced to pay them. After years of people complaining and nothing was ever done about them, they pulled this scam on a cop.

I highly recommend these guys. They moved my parents once and me twice.

I used them fairly recently to move out west. They were not perfect but not as bad as some movers I have had. In addition, of the three movers I got to give me estimates this time, their estimate was the closest to the actual cost. The estimate was a bit over the actual cost but not by that much.

I have used AMJ Campbell in the past and both times were flawless. You get what you pay for.

i have kept this place pretty simple. i moved everything that i didn't throw away last time to this place in a minivan. it is less than a truck load by a huge amount i am just being lazy. maybe 15 boxes, a bed, 2 couches and a t.v. i kept it very simple here since i knew i wasn't staying for to very long. since my new job is travelling 5-6 days a week i am not even going to get a new apartment. my ex wants all my shit so it is going there not storage. i am just doing hotels for the day or 2 a week i am home.

All the moving companies have both good and poor staff. Best if you are present while they work.
