Interesting question about STD etiquette

A few days ago I was contacted by a fellow hobbiest about an SP I had seen some time back. It seems this young lad saw the lady in question recently and is now honestly convinced that she transmitted something to him.

Whether this was actually the case or not I do not know. It did get me thinking though. If you were faced with that situation what do you do? Do you contact the SP and say...what? If you are sure, do you have an obligation to disclose or is it just tough luck for everyone else?

I suppose this same question would apply if it were any disease with a stigma attached (SARS come to mind...)

Well I would hope that anyone even remotely suspecting that they may have an STD would not partake in the hobby or on the female side, provide any services until they had been checked and cleared by a doctor.

No matter how much safer condoms are they are not 100%.
What would you say if you knew you had something (lets say chlamydia for example) but could not hold yourself back from seeing someone and the condom slipped off?

Blurt out"hey I'm sorry sweetie, it just slipped off, but you might want to go to the clinic tomorrow because I have chlamydia, guess I should have told you that before huh?"

I mean get real, this is your body we are talking about, and the bodies of others, do some people just have no consience(sp?)?

I'm with Sheik on this one. Chances are the guy has no idea where his disease originated. Whereas it is a good idea to contact the lady and any other woman with whom he has had subsequent relations, it would be irresponsible in my opinion to blurt out this information in a forum such as this. It is understood that "hobbyist"...LOL, would take the proper precautions to protect themselves and the partners that they are probably cheating on from their indisgressions.
