Internet connection problem

I have a wireless internet connection at home and I just noticed this week that whenever I open up Bitcomet on my notebook, the internet connection seems to ground to a halt on the notebook, whereas the desktop is fine.

When I turned my desktop on to see if there was anything wrong with the desktop's internet connection a Windows message appears on the notebook's taskbar that says
" Windows - System Error. There is an IP address conflict with another system on the network."

Yet, the desktop's connection is fine but not the notebook's.

I never had this problem until just this past weekend.

Anybody encounter this problem before?

Any help is appreciated.

Both devices have the same IP addresses. You need to change one.

As Hunter stated, both machines are using the same IP address which isn' allowed... make sure you have DHCP enabled on your laptop ( no static ip's set ) and then reboot the router followed by disable/enable your network connection on your laptop. Or alternatively you can use the ipconfig release & renew command from command prompt instead of rebooting the router
Code:
 ** As Admin**
ipconfig /release *
ipconfig /renew *
