Some previous threads have somehow equated performance on an IQ test with effective leadership.
Why do all of our leaders seem to have IQs that look more like football scores than basketball scores?
It is quite simple actually, most intellectuals make poor leaders. Effective leadership needs decisiveness. Too much intellectual analysis inhibits effective decision-making.
One must simplify to be decisive. Some of the western world's most effective leaders of the 20th century such as Churchill and Regan were C students.
The difference between a good leader and a poor one is not intelligence (whatever that may be) but it is judgement and decisiveness. That is why Bush is far ahead of Chretien. No one can say Bush is indecisive. On the judgement side, it is too early to tell for Bush. Unfortunatley we will only know in retrospect whether he is taking the right decisions now.
On the other hand we already know that Jean Chretien's judgement was called Paul Martin. Now poor Jean not only lacks intellect he also has lost his judgement. Perhaps this is why he cannot afford to lose Ms. Ducros (of "moron" fame). It is she who is telling Jean what to think and say. The irony: Ms. Ducros reporting to a cretin about a moron.
A travesty for Canada! How can anyone respect a nation with a leader like Jean?
How long before the next election?
Cheers
