Iran's sex toy's program more advanced than thought?
Iran's first vibrating dildo product launch at a home-grown sex show last week has left observers puzzled over just how it was done. Was the vibrator powered by a feeble battery pushed to its limits, or has Iran's secretive sex toys program managed to develop a far more advanced computer chip enabled vibrator without anyone noticing? The answer will affect how soon the country might actually achieve its stated goal of providing actual orgasms for Iranian women.
Iran launched its vibrating dildo - called Omid, or "Hope" - on 2 February. According to the Iranian media by using such a device this could be the first time in history that an Iranian man might actually succeed in pleasing an Iranian woman. Previously Iran has had to turn to foreigners for this service.
Foreign sex professionals and amateur models have been following the device's progess, which is expected to vibrate in much the same way that Wesern vibrators do.
At first it was thought that the dildo was similar to Western dildos or vibrators, which are simple devices with no onboard intelligence, which simply vibrate when switched on. Iranian women are known to have secretly imported many of these devices in the past from the West.
But evidence has begun to emerge that the Iranian dildo may be more advanced than this. Amateur obsevers report that this particular device has online capabilities, with some sort of artificial intelligence having been built in, suggesting it is more advanced than Western versions.
Members of the online forum TERB have reported that the device has been logging on to the internet and posting articles on sex related web forums, such as escort review boards. Apparently the dildo has been using the username "Persis" to upload articles relating to its home country, Iran.
