What did Kyrie do to make you think he's the biggest asshole? there are bigger assholes behind the scenes...

Indeed those are bigger assholes. But on the court/field/ice, its hard to find a bigger asshole currently playing in the big 4 American Sports than Kyrie Irving.

He messed things up in Cleveland - and forced his way out when Lebron was still there.
Was a terrible locker room influence in Boston and they had little interest in bringing him back.
He was disappointing Brooklyn, asked for trades multiple times, bailed on his teammates for an entire season.

And in the controversies - the anti-semetic comments, the vaccine controversy (wheter you agree or disagree with mandates, his choice really f'd over his teammates), and other wackiness.

In terms of actual current athletes he is hard to beat.

Although in the NBA I will add Joel Embiid to the list.

In terms of post career antics (and end of playing career antics), Brett Favre is extremely hard to beat.
That's where I think asshole Roger's learned it from. These guys are paid a ridiculous amount of money to lead their teams and once they are past their prime they blame poor management and other players for their decline in play. No one player is ever bigger than the franchise no matter what they believe

Kyrie didn't fuck his teammates...these are professionals. you can't force someone via vaccine mandate...the anti semetic angle was over reaching....Ja Morant makes Kyrie look like a saint IMO.

I don’t know if Jerry Jones is an overt “asshole” but he ruined the Cowboys by micromanaging everything.(ie the draft).

When he let Jimmy Johnson decide who to draft, they really didn’t have any “busts”. He found overlooked “gems” from small colleges who became perennial pro bowlers - Nate Newton, Mark Tunei, Kevin Gogan, Larry Allen etc.

Once Jerry Jones took over the Cowboys draft room, they haven’t drafted anyone who has done anything like Shante Carver, Dez Bryant and Tony Romo.

Yes! Tony Romo sucks! I said it! I don’t care about his stats. He’s 0-0 in the Superbowl and that’s all that matters!

Passing yards and completion percentages don’t matter when you don’t win.

As for Dez Bryant, same thing 0-0 in the Superbowl

The Cowboys need a small core of nut jobs like Michael Irvin, Charles Haley or Thomas Henderson to give the team some heart.

Thomas Henderson was supposedly seen snorting coke on the sideline during the Super Bowl! Now That’s a player! Lol!

Michael Irvin ran the offence and Charles Haley ran the defence and not a single practice was wasted with them around - they held everyone accountable.

Read the book “Boys will Be Boys” which is all about the Cowboys in their glory years in the 1990’s.

They’ve become the Maple Leafs of the NFL. Yes, I said that too, but I’ll stop now.

BTW: Aaron Rodgers is an asshole but he at least has a Super Bowl ring. I don’t understand why he would want to go to the Jets of all places, I guess if I read the fine print I’ll determine the financial reason.

He just has a chip on his shoulder because everyone says he’s too small (he’s 6’2!) and is “sensitive” when people mention his height.

He has a chip on his other shoulder because the San Francisco 49ers didn’t draft him out of college - waaaa! Too bad! He should be happy he even got drafted! (Ok, that’s maybe a bit too much now).
I agree about Romo, guy couldn't win a big game if his life depended on it.

Kyrie didn't fuck his teammates..
.Weren't there some games in which he could not play because he wasn't vaccinated?

If that was the case, it is undeniable that he fucked his teammates because the team was at a disadvantage without him.

No organization wants to keep him. He's a pain in the ass, AKA an asshole.

blasphemy, he may come off aloof but he has done some amazing things for kids off the field.
There was also an incident he called out a Islamphobe before the game end at the press conference.
The beef with his family is hard to explain though.

Some of the A-holes I can think of on top of my head:
Draymond
Farve: sexting and stealing welfare $ to build a volleyball court for his daughter's school
Kobe and Big Ben for rape charges
Bobby Petrino, if you include coaches

I'm not against guys holding out to get paid fairly but Roger's is a completely self centered asshole both on and off the field. He took a massive payout to play for the jets after soaking the Packers so bad they had to get rid of the talent around him. I hope the whiney overrated prick plays worse foe the jets than his last season at titletown. https://www.thebiglead.com/posts/aa...ary-trade-packers-01h6a7c89gg6?utm_source=RSS
He took a pay cut so jets could get better players

I guess you are defining asshole as being the most terrible guy / criminal. I think those can be different types of people. Kyrie fits "asshole" for me, but nowhere near the terrible guy / criminal category either.

As I laid out in my prior post, totally independent of the vaccine, he screwed his teammates in Cleveland - he screwed his teammates in Boston - and he screwed his teammates, GM and coaches in Brooklyn. And part of that is because Kyrie just thinks differently than others, can be selfish, rubs people the wrong way, and is at times over sensitive.

He has been a really bad teammate on several teams. You may think Kyrie is some free thinking martyr because of the vaccine stance (and that is fine), but his personnel issues existed long before that and after that.

There is a reason his trade value was not that good last year - teams are very apprehensive of him.

Ja Morant is an different case. He is going beyond the asshole issue into category into much darker realms. He was largely a model player coming into the NBA and in his first year/ And then in the last year or two he has completely went off the rails off the court, and doing selfish things that hurt his team. Hopefully he gets it together otherwise we are dealing with someone who is not in the just an asshole category, but a criminal.

You are correct that mone of that makes him a bad guy in the truest sense (he is nowhere near a criminal that is true). But he has been a really bad teammate on several teams. Ja Morant is an interesting and very different case. He is going beyond the asshole issue into even darker realms He was largely a model player coming into the NBA and in his first year - no issues off the court or with teammates. Set a good example by playing hard. And then in the last year or two he has completely went off the rails off the court, and doing selfish things that hurt his team because he can't play. Hopefully he gets it together otherwise we are dealing with someone who is not in the just an asshole category, but a criminal.
Kyrie is a problem.

How is that fucking up your teammates? These are professionals...If you need one player to win games for you...you aint that good without him? Superstars miss games all the time. Heck they even do "load management" with stars just not playing without any reasons...
