Is English your first language

Just wondering how many terbites consider themselves to be fluent in English. Specifically in written English.

I've been on terb for almost 2 years now and sometimes I read posts that I find hard to understand. Sometimes it obvious that there's a language barrier. Other times I wonder if the poster is drunk, really off the wall or just plain nuts. As an aside, I think most of the people on terb are a little wacko. Don't get your knickers in a knot, I put myself in the same category.

Anyhow, let's see how many of you consider yourself to be good English language communicators.

English is my first language... and yes I too, am a little nuts! (OK, maybe a lot nuts, but not in a creepy, cyber stalker kinda way...)

I am by no means perfect, as I stopped taking language writing skills in grade 13, but I get by quite well I think...

Although one TERB recently suggested I take a creative writing course to make my stories more interesting!

I've been meaning to ask you about that... I've read many of yours as well player, and most of them put mine to shame!

I think my favourite is the "mexican food/ dutch Oven/ puke" story though! Had me in stitches!

...but I think the absolute worst thing that is happening to the English language is "texting". Unless schools and parents get a handle on this scourge it will destroy a generation's writing skills.

English is my second language and I struggled with the grammar throughout my school years. I'm reassured to know that there is soemone who enjoys a good sanguig as much a I do..

The way some regular posters mangle English all the time, it can't be their first language. Some posters are either in grade school or never graduated from 8th grade. Some can't even write a proper sentance you can read.
