Is Stephen Harper 'Americanising' Canada?

An article the author of which seemingly couldn't find a single person in Canada to interview who supports the Conservative Party. Further, by the term "Americanising" the author seems to have a very narrow view of the term, certainly anyone who looks at the Prime Minister's terms in office would find it rather hard to point out an Americanization in broader historical senses of the term.
