Anywhere there's a Strip Joint
C'mon, if you're going forward in technology with a Blu-ray, why would you want to go backwards in wanting a VCR.

Give it up man. There is no reason to combine the two technologies.
It's like looking for a brand new sports car that can also be pulled by a horse harness. Why?

In reading reviews on DVD/VCR combos, I haven't seen too many re-assuring stories about copying the old VHS tapes to DVD.

that also has a VCR? Thanks.
Can I ask where you find value in having them wired together inside one box, rather than having the Blu-Ray and VCR as separate devices and just hooking them together? Or, for that matter, over the alternative of hooking both up to a computer which records from one, allows edits, then feeds the other?
